DISC Profiling Training
Every team is made up of people who communicate, make decisions, respond to pressure and approach their work differently. Those differences can be a real strength — but when we don’t understand them, they can also create frustration, miscommunication and conflict.
DISC is a practical behavioural profiling tool that helps individuals and teams understand these differences and use them to work more effectively together.
At Positive People, we use DISC profiling as part of leadership development, team building and coaching programmes. The focus isn’t on putting people into boxes or labelling personalities. Instead, DISC provides a shared language for understanding behavioural preferences and gives people practical tools to adapt how they communicate and work with others.
Build greater self-awareness
The first step to working effectively with others is understanding yourself.
Each participant completes an online DISC assessment and receives an easy-to-understand individual report outlining their behavioural style, strengths, communication preferences and potential areas of challenge.
Participants gain insight into questions such as:
- How do I naturally communicate with others?
- How do I respond to pressure or change?
- How do I make decisions?
- What motivates me?
- How might others experience my communication style?
- What do I need from others to work effectively?
- Where might my natural style create challenges?
This increased self-awareness can help leaders and team members recognise the impact of their behaviour and make more conscious choices about how they interact with others.
Turn insight into practical action
The real value of DISC comes from applying the insights in the workplace.
We bring teams together for a facilitated workshop where participants explore their individual and combined team profiles. Through practical exercises, discussion and real workplace examples, teams develop a better understanding of how their different styles complement — and sometimes challenge — each other.
Participants learn how to flex their communication and approach to achieve get better results with different people, rather than expecting everyone to communicate and work in the same way.
DISC can help your team:
- Improve communication and reduce misunderstandings
- Build stronger working relationships
- Understand and value different behavioural styles
- Adapt communication to different people and situations
- Strengthen leadership effectiveness
- Improve teamwork and collaboration
- Navigate conflict more constructively
- Support more effective sales and customer interactions
- Build greater self-awareness and personal effectiveness
A practical tool for leaders and teams
DISC is particularly useful when teams are going through change, developing new leaders, working through relationship challenges, or simply looking to improve how they work together.
Our facilitated DISC workshops can be tailored to your team’s needs and incorporated into broader leadership development, team building or coaching programmes.
The result is more than an individual profile. Your team develops a shared understanding of how people work differently — and practical strategies for communicating, leading and collaborating more effectively.
